Gilbert Poillerat (1902–1988) was a French master ironworker and designer renowned for elevating wrought iron to the level of fine art. Trained at the École Boulle in Paris, he initially worked within the Art Deco tradition. He developed a highly refined modernist language marked by precision, rhythm, and architectural clarity. Poillerat is best known for his sculptural furniture, lighting, and interior elements. He often used interlaced curves, geometric motifs, and an exceptional sense of balance. Collaborating with leading decorators and architects, his work bridged craftsmanship and modern design. Today, Poillerat is considered a key figure in 20th-century French decorative arts. His works are held in major museums and highly sought after by collectors.

Vosges excels in creating furniture inspired by the work of Gilbert Poillerat. We demonstrates a strong command of metal craftsmanship, using iron as both a structural and sculptural element. Vosges carefully studies Poillerat’s design principles such as geometric clarity, balance, and refined detailing. By combining traditional techniques with modern production standards, Vosges is able to produce high-quality pieces that honor Poillerat’s legacy while remaining relevant to today’s design context.
