1930s FRENCH BENCH TWIST LEGS
1930s French Bench twist legs. A design of Jean-Michel Frank inspired us to recreate this bench. Our team has fabricated the frame in solid Beechwood with turned twist-shaped legs. A painting finish together with a hand-patina and final wax have then been applied. Vosges has further upholstered the bench in white and covered both seat and back with COM. We also used a set of beautiful stone marten pelts for the making of an extra removable fur slip cover.
Icon of the Art Deco style, Jean-Michel Frank was the most influential designer of the 1930s. He is known for minimalist, elegant and modern interiors. Frank decorated with plain-lined but sumptuous furniture made of luxury materials. He collaborated with artists or architects such as Christian Berard, Alberto and Diego Giacometti or Emilio Terry.
