A design of Martä Blomstedt inspired this comfortable lounge armchair. Solid Beechwood frame with turned and waxed Ashwood feet. Upholstering in white and covering with shearlings.

Born in 1899, Märta Blomstedt was a Finnish designer and architect. She firstly associated with her husband Pauli Ernesti Blomstedt and was involved in the success of the Finnish Modern Movement. After her husband’s death, she created then the firm Blomstedt and Lampén with the architect Matti Lampén. Märta Blomstedt designed all aspects of private and public buildings. It included interior design and further furniture design. Her most noted project is the Hotel Aulanko in the south of Finland. She is a significant figure of the Scandinavian architecture and design of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.
