Louis XV style bergere inspired by a model by Gourdin. The Gourdin are an illustrious family of 18th century French carpenters. They had a prestigious clientele and therefore realized the most important commands of the time. Gourdin’ s furniture can now be found in private and public collections such as Royal Collection Trust (Buckingham Palace, London), Musee du Louvre (Paris), Metropolitan Museum of Arts (New York) or Rijks Museum(Amsterdam).
