FRENCH REGENCE ARMCHAIR

French Regence Armchair. Model inspired by an original armchair sourced at an antique dealer. The armchair is fabricated in solid wood (Beechwood, Walnut or Oak) and hand carved. Back rest and seating are hand canned in a traditional way. It is then stained and waxed or finished with patinated gold leaves.

The French Regence style is a style of furniture that dates from around 1715 to 1723, the period of Philippe II, Duke of Orléans’ regency during the minority of king Louis XV. It succeeded the Louis XIV style and announced the Louis XV style.
