Gesso coating. Gold, silver or palladium leaf applying with chess board pattern. Patina and wax finishings.
This table is inspired by a piece by Marcel Coard, a great designer and architect of the 1930s.
He mixed styles from Tribal Art and Cubism to Art Nouveau.
His furniture was precious, innovative and unique. Therefore it appealed only to a wealthy avant garde.
